KPMG’s Mining Executive Forum for 2009 was once again fully subscribed and buzzing with energy. The mood was more optimistic than a year ago. Delegates seemed to feel that the worst is behind us. Commodity prices are on the upswing, credit and equity markets are opening up once again, and a number of important business costs have declined. Companies that managed their balance sheets well are poised for growth.
